Lackland AFB

Lackland AFB is an alright base. On base housing is pretty nice but only in Airman Scott Village and Frank Tejeda Estates (they're new). Off base housing is affordable, and it gets better the farther you are from the base. My only complaint about the base would be Wilford Hall, the emergency room wait is a 6-8 hours, unless you've been in a car accident or something else life-threatening is going on. I don't consider San Antonio a good city to live in. It's dangerous, the people aren't friendly, customer service in most places is horrible, and people here can't drive. It's also possible that you will get into a road rage incident with someone at some point and time. The weather here is unpredictable except for summer time, it's hot and humid. Winter varies from hot to cold on any given day. The Riverwalk, Fiest Texas, and a few other places are cool, but get old after a while.
