Heading to Disney or Universal in 2024? Check Out Their Military Deals!

Disney Trips– Disneyland and Walt Disney World.  Disney is synonymous with expensive. These are “big trips” that many families plan for and save for years to make happen. There are ways for military families to save money on their stay to visit the mouse.

Salute Tickets

Walt Disney World has two park hopper tickets up for offer. A four-, five-, and six-day salute ticket option with four options within that. The blackout dates are March 24, 2024, through April 6, 2024, and November 24 through November 30, 2024. The tickets are valid from January 1, 2024, and December 20, 2024.

6-Day Military Salute Ticket– can be purchased through December 15th, 2024

  • With Park Hopper: $409 plus tax
  • With the Park Hopper Plus: $439 plus tax

5-Day Military Salute Ticket – can be purchased through December 16, 2024

  • With park Hopper option: $389 plus tax
  • With Park Hopper Plus Option: $419 plus tax

4-Day Military Salute Ticket – can be purchased through December 17, 2024

  • With park Hopper option: $369 plus tax
  • With Park Hopper Plus Option: $399 plus tax

Memory Maker is a photographer package program at WDW. Any photos taken by photographers throughout the park or on rides where you wear the Magic Band can be loaded into the account. Memory Maker is a special price for the military at $98 through December 20, 2024.

Disneyland has its own ticket offering for the Salute tickets. They offer a three- and four-day Salute ticket. Genie+ is now in place of Fast Pass or Max Pass. The Genie+ program is an add-on program so it needs to be included in tickets or purchased the day of. The tickets are open from January 2 through December 13, 2024.

3 Day Military Salute Ticket

  • With Park Hopper: $269 plus tax
  • With Park Hopper and Genie+: $359 plus tax

4 Day Military Salute Ticket

  • With Park Hopper: $315 plus tax
  • With Park Hopper and Genie+: $435 plus tax

Universal Parks

Universal Orlando

The Military Freedom pass from Universal is a pass for purchase for military members and their family members for admission to the park from January to December of that year. In 2023, blackout dates were added for April, but previously there were no blackout dates!  For 2024, the blackout dates include March 25 through March 31, 2024. The tickets are active from the date of activation through 12/20/2024. This means if you activate the tickets on January 4th, 2024, you can go to the park every day except the blackout dates until December 20, 2024.

The two-park pass provides admission to Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure on the same day. This means it is a park-to-park ticket allowing for riding the Hogwarts Express.

The three-park pass provides admission to Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure, and Universal’s Volcano Bay theme parks.

This ticket is available for purchase on your military installation at the Tickets or Travel office, depending on the military service branch. When this ticket is purchased on base, you save with no tax.

2-Park

  • Ages 10 and above: $210
  • Ages 3-9: $205

3-Park

  • Ages 10 and above: $245
  • Ages 3-9: $240

Universal Hollywood

With the opening of Super Mario Land, Universal Hollywood has increased in popularity. Tickets at a military discount are available at military ITT offices. Check west coast locations like MCB Camp Pendleton or Shades of Green for mail-order options for ordering their tickets at a discounted price.
