Recently my daughter had to write a poem on Memorial day. it brought tears to everyones eyes including my husbands, who is a 27 year retired veteran.I thought it should be shared with military families so it can truely be appreciated. MEMORIAL DAY By: Georgianna Barcalow Memorial Day of every year, We gather around and break a tear, We pay respect to those who died, For the freedom of you and I, Such a waste of brave young souls, Only to be put in holes, We spend it with our family’s, To say thanks to those who died for us To stay free. Just remember Pow”s & Mia’s And remember we can’t rest till There’ll all home someday.
