The kids still have no school; many businesses are closed as well as the malls. Here is a simple treat to give the kids something to do as well as provide a snack.
Did you know you could make hot chocolate with only two ingredients you already have--and neither one of them is a packet of mix? All it takes is Milk and chocolate chips. That’s all it takes for your kids to make their favorite hot chocolate without a powdered mix at all.
This "recipe" makes four servings (1/2 cup each) and it only takes about 5-minutes.
INGREDIENTS: 2 cups milk, and 1/2 cup chocolate chips…
DIRECTIONS: Step 1: Combine both ingredients in either a microwavable bowl or a saucepan to heat on the stove. For the microwave, heat twice for 2-minute intervals. A total of 4-minutes should give you hot milk that will melt the chocolate chips when you whisk it. Alternatively, on a stovetop, heat on medium-high, whisking periodically until the chocolate chips are completely melted.
Step 2: "The Best Part!" Enjoy it with some toast and maybe a little fresh fruit. That's a combo that’s hard to beat!
