2 skin-on salmon fillets
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/2 cup maple syrup
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp ginger paste
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1/2 cup cold water
1 tbsp corn starch
Brush the salmon with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
Line the basket with a piece of parchment paper.
Place the salmon in the basket, make sure they aren’t touching each other of the sides of the basket.
Set air fryer to 400°F - For 8 minutes
While the salmon in frying add the maple syrup, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger and garlic to a small heavy bottomed sauce pan. Heat over medium heat, be sure to whisk. Allow the sauce to come to a boil. Combine the cold water and corn starch to form a slurry. Pour the slurry into the glaze, whisk and bring back to a boil. As soon as it reaches a boil again, reduce the heat to a low simmer, the glaze will thicken. When the salmon finishes frying, carefully lift it out by the parchment paper. Brush the salmon with a thick coating of the maple glaze. Enjoy! |
