Hamburger Vegetable Beef Stew or Soup |

1 lbs lean hamburger meat
1 small box mixed vegetables frozen
12 chopped small green cabbage
1 small chopped yellow or green squash
1 can diced tomatoes 14 12oz
1 sm. can tomato sauce
1 chopped onion
2 tablespoons of chopped green bell pepper
3 cloves minced garlic or 3 sprinkles from a bottle of powder garlic
34 teaspoon cumin powder or a little less
water-- enough to cover whats in pot for a stew or more water for a soup
salt and pepper to taste
Brown meat in a large pot. Drain the fat. Add the bell pepper,onion and garlic and saute a little till onions are soft. Add all the rest of the ingredients cover bring to a gentle boil and then lower heat to simmer and cook until cabbage is real soft and limp about 15 mim. Serve with cornbread. For a stew add a couple of tablespoons of flour in a cup of cold water and mix real well and add slowly to mix to thicken up when done.
