Indian Cornbread

Recipe: 4 eggs 2 cups buttermilk 3 tablespoons melted butter 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon baking soda 3 teaspoons baking powder 2 and 1/2 cups yellow cornmeal In bowl beat eggs until light. Stir in buttermilk, butter and salt. Thoroughly mix in baking powder and baking soda. Beat in cornmeal until smooth. Pour into lightly greased 1 quart loaf pan. Bake in preheated 400 degree oven until top is golden brown and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve with a generous helping of butter on top. Enjoy!
