This dish has been a favorite for years in home.
ingredients
1 lb Andouille Sausage or a fat free / lean sausage
2 cups fresh/frozen okra
1 cup white instant rice / or cooked Jasmine rice
1 8oz can diced tomatoes
Finely chopped onions (optional)
Cook all the ingredients according to the package directions. I salute the sausage and onions in a skillet until brown. Next add in the tomatoes and rice. Allow to simmer on low heat, about 5 minutes.
Last , eat and enjoy this healthy meal , which takes less than 20 minutes. And the flavor and compliments will follow!
