1/4 c vegetable oil
1/4c flour
1/2 tsp ground pepper
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder
2tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp oregano
2 tbsp chili powder
2 c chicken broth
1 tbsp masa harina (optional)
Heat oil over med. heat. Add flour stir about 3 min. Until it is light brown in color. Add remaining dry ingredients continuing stirring for 1 min.
Add broth slowly while while stirring. Simmer low 15 min.
Can add water to adjust thickness Can add masa harina for flavor and thickness. |
