HOMEMADE MAC & CHEESE

Recipe: 1 box elbow noodles 1/2 yellow onion chopped 1 cup velveta cheese chopped 2 cups milk 3 TBLS butter 3 TBLS flour 1 tesp salt 1 tesp black pepper First you will need a 2 quart pot, fill it half way full of water . When water starts boiling add 1 tesp salt then add noodles. Let noodles cook for 8-10 minutes or until soft. Then drain noodles and set a side. Put noodles in a 2 quart baking dish. On the stove top you will need a sauce pan. I use an iron skillet medium size. place three TBLSP. of butter in skillet and let it melt then add chopped onions. Let onions cook until they are soft. Next add flour to onions and stir slowly. then add salt and pepper, slowly add your milk. Stir as you pour. Let this cook until it thickens. Then slowly add your cheese and continue stirring until it has melted. Then remove cheese sauce from heat slowly add cheese sauce over noodles. Stir all together. I let mine bake for 15 minutes in the oven at 350. I also add more chunks of cheese on top and let it melt. This is good on any day of the week.
