Recipe: 8 cups peeled tart apples 2 1/4 cups packed brown sugar, divided 2 tsp ground cinnamon 1 cup butter, softened 2 eggs 2 cups all purpose flour 1 cup finely chopped walnuts, divided Vanilla ice cream, optional Place apples in greased 13' x 9' baking dish. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup of brown sugar and cinamon in a bowl, cream butter and remaining brown sugar. Add eggs. Stir flour and 1/2 cup of walnuts. Spread over apples. Sprinkle with remaining walnuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes or until the apples are tender. Serve warm with ice cream if desired.
