Easy Grilled Jalapeno Poppers

Name: William Gebler
Base: Fort Bliss, TX
Recipe: Easy Grilled Jalapeno Poppers What You Need: 14-15 Whole Fresh Jalapeno Peppers 1 Package Peyton’s Bacon (For Best Flavor) 1 Package Philadelphia Cream Cheese Wood or Metal Skewers (optional) Directions: Wash Jalapenos, using sharp knife slice off cap where the tail is. Split jalapenos lengthwise down the middle and remove all the seeds and vein portion inside (easy to separate the vein with a knife or spoon). Once you have the jalapenos halved and seeded, rinse out the halves (this helps remove the spicy heat). By the tablespoon, fill the halves with cream cheese so you fill the peppers level. Next, leaving the bacon sealed lengthwise, cut it down the middle so you have two halves of four or five inch slices. Wrap each filled jalapeno half with one of the strips of bacon (use more or less as desired). Now, you can skewer these using bamboo skewers (1.50 for a pack of 100), or secure the bacon around the jalapeno with 2 toothpicks. Grill over high heat until jalapenos are roasted thoroughly, and bacon is cooked. (propane or charcoal work equally well) (they will roast and won’t burn easily), When poppers are fully cooked, they will be extremely tasty, and will not be very spicy at all. Enjoy! You will be making this often at your cookouts. 
