2c. Dry low fat powered milk, 2tbsp. Dried onion flakes, 3/4c. Cornstarch, 1/4c. Chicken bouillon powder, 1tsp. Dried basil, 1tsp. Dried thyme
1/8 tsp. black pepper
Mix all ingredients and store this calorie-saving mixture in an airtight container (zip lock container) until you are ready to make cream soup. “I put mine in the freezer”.
The base can be used to make any flavor soup you want just by adding the main flavoring ingredient.
For cream of mushroom soup you add fresh or canned mushrooms; for cream of celery add some fresh chopped celery, try cut up chicken or turkey for cream of, or any other fresh vegetables you may want to
Try.
Just add ½ cup of mixture to 1 ½ + cups of cold water. Stir until thickened over medium heat. This is
the equivalent to one can of soup. To make the equivalent to 10 cans of soup add 5 cups of mix to 15 ½ + cups of water. If it is too thick just adding water to thin, if to thin add a tsp. or tbsp. of the dry powdered mix.
