Recipe: |
To make a sheet cake or a two-layer cake
3 cups of all-purpose flour
2 cups granulated sugar
6 tablespoons of Cocoa
2 tsp of Baking Soda
1 tsp of salt
Mix the dry ingredients well by hand and make three holes or depressions in the dry mix
To one depression add 12 tablespoons of Oil (Corn, Canola)
To another add two tablespoons of white vinegar
To the third add 2 tsp of Vanilla Extract
Add two cup of water over all and stir by hand - do not use an electric mixer
Use parchment paper to line the cake pans
Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
Apply frosting of your choice after the cake cools |
