Dream Green Gelatin Salad
1 pkg lime-flavored gelatin
1 pkg lemon-flovered gelatin
21 large marshmallows, cut up.
1 (6 oz) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 cup pecans, chopped
1 (8 oz) pkg cream cheese cut into small pieces
Small carton whipped cream topping
Prepare both gelatins according to package directions in large bowl but before adding the cold water, add cut up marshmallows (do NOT substitute mini marshmallows), stirring until melted & add then creamed cheese. Now add the cold water to gelatin & refrigerate until slightly thickened. Add drained pineapple and pecans. After mix becomes well thickened, fold in whipped topping & pour all into 8 x 12 glass dish. Chill for several hours. To serve cut into squares. Option for garnish: Shredded coconut and maraschino cherry. |
