Barbie Doll Cake Name: Brandi Thomas Base: Shaw AFB Recipe: what you need * 1 cake mix (chocolate or white) * 3 eggs (or however many your cake mix calls for) * 1/4 cup vegetable oil (per cake mix directions) * 1 1/4 cups water (per cake mix directions) * * 1 Barbie Doll * * Frosting: * 1 bag powder sugar * 1 1/2 cups shortening (plain not butter flavored) * 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla * Milk (you will have to judge yourself how much. Just add a little at a time till you get the right consistency for decorations. You will want it to be stiff.) make it Make cake as directed on the box and bake in a glass bowl that is oven safe. The cake will take approximately 1 hour to bake. You have to test it with a cake tester or butter knife to make sure it is done all the way in the middle. After the cake is done set aside to cool. Frosting: Place all ingredients in the bowl adding the milk a little at a time till you get a stiff frosting. I like to separate the frosting in to smaller bowls to color them. You can use whatever colors you like. After the cake is cool, place the Barbie Doll in to the middle of the cake making the cake her dress. After the doll is placed into the cake you then just decorate to please. There is not any one certain way that everybody does it.
