2 cups grated fresh coconut
(the meat of 1 medium-size coconut)
1 cup water
1-1/2 cups dark brown sugar
Combine the coconut and water in a saucepan
with a heavy bottom.Bring to a boil.
Add the brown sugar.Reduce the heat to low
cook for 30 minutes,stirring occasionally or
until the mixture becomes thick and sticky.
Drop the mixture by tablespoons onto
a greased cookie sheet.
Let the coconut kisses cool completely.
