Ingredients
1 whole chicken or 8 chicken pieces
1 pound package of wide noodles
1 onion
1 cup of celery
Cut up one whole chicken or use chicken pieces (approx 8 pieces), season chicken to taste. Add chicken to crock pot along with 1 diced onion, 1 cup of celery diced up, and 2 cups of water. Let cook for 6-8 hours until chicken is falling off the bone. Set aside. Boil 1 pound package of egg noodles (wide ones) in separate pot with 8 cups of water until tender rinse then add chicken to noodles. If you want to thicken broth add two tablespoons of flour and 2 teaspoons of soy sauce (for color) with 12 ounce glass of cold water. Mix flour, water and soy sauce well and add to pot. Cook on low for another 10-15 minutes. Meal is complete. |
