Lemon-Butter Pound Cake Bars

Recipe: Bars 1 cup butter or margarine 2 cups granulated sugar 4 eggs 2 cups Gold MedalŪ self-rising flour 2 tablespoons grated lemon peel 1/3 cup lemon juice Glaze 1 cup powdered sugar 2 tablespoons lemon juice 1. Heat oven to 375°F. Grease bottom only of 13x9-inch pan with shortening or cooking spray. In 3-quart saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Remove from heat. Stir in remaining bar ingredients in order listed, mixing well after each addition. Spread batter in pan. 2. Bake 35 to 45 minutes or until top is golden brown. Cool in pan on cooling rack 10 minutes. 3. While bars are cooling, in small bowl, mix glaze ingredients until smooth. Drizzle over warm bars. Cool completely, about 1 hour. For bars, cut into 8 rows by 6 rows. High Altitude (3500-6500 ft): Bake 35 to 40 minute
