My take on RR's "Cabbage and Hay"

Name: Aimee Sauer
Base: Camp Lejeune
Recipe: I saw "Cabbage and Hay" in a Rachael Ray magazine but I added my own stuff. 1/2 head green cabbage sliced in thin slices, 1 lb chicken breast cut into bite size chunks, terriyaki sauce (kikkomans I like), 1/2 red onion cut into half moon slices, 1 bag egg noodles, vegetable oil, salt, pepper, garlic salt, hot sauce (I use lots)---------Marinate the chicken in the terriyaki for a few hours, overnight is best(I get a big thing of chicken and put 2 breast in ziploc bags with marinade then freeze, it marinates as it defrosts), boil the egg noodles in salted water, cook the chicken in a little vegetable oil on high until cooked through, keep adding terriyaki sauce a little at a time to keep a little sauce going. Add a tablespoon or so of water to make a good sauce. When the chickens done remove from pan. in the same pan start cooking the onions and cabbage. Add pepper, garlic salt and hot sauce, just a few shakes.Cook the veggies until soft but still a little crunchy, add in the chicken to heat and add a little more terriyaki. When it's all hot put on top of the noodles!!
