Two Alarm Chili

Recipe: 2 pounds meat coarsely ground or diced meat 1 - 8 ounce can tomato sauce 2 - 8 ounce cans water 1 package of 2 Alarm Chili kit 1 - 14.5 ounce petite diced tomatoes drained 1 - 15.5 ounce chili beans Brown meat and drain off fat. Add tomato sauce and water. Stir in all ingredients except the masa. Cover pot and simmer 30 minutes, until meat is tender. Stir occasionally. Skim off excess grease. Mix masa with ¼ cup of warm water into a smooth paste. Stir into chili to tighten it and add flavor. Simmer 15 to 20 minutes. Chili is ready to serve. For 1-Alarm Chili, use only half of the red pepper. For False-Alarm Chili, leave out the red pepper. For 3-Alarm Chili or hotter, merely add hot pepper. Garnish with shredded cheese or sour cream and serve with crackers or over rice. Servings:6
