1 lb gound beef or ground turkey
1 large onion chopped
2 cloves garlic chopped
3 tsp chili powder
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 of died oregano
3/4 tsp cumin
1 can (14.5 or 16oz)stewed tomatoes
1 can (16oz) red kidney beans (drained and rinsed)
1 can (8oz) tomato sauce
First, cook the ground meat,onion, and garlic in a large saucepan. Stir occasionally until the meat is well browned (drain fat if neccessary). Stir chili powder, salt, oregano, and cumin into the meat mixture. Mix well. Then add undrained stewed tomatoes, beans, and tomato sauce; bring the mixture to a boil. Simmer for 20 minutes. |
