Spaghetti w/ Garlic and Parmesan

Name: Jennifer Mendez
Base: MCAS Miramar
Recipe: Ingredients: 1. Box of spaghetti noodles 2. 2 jars of tomato sauce. (I use tomato and basil, but you can use any. Also if you like it more saucy, rather than meaty, you can add more sauce.) 3. 1 lb of Italian sausage (mild, medium, or spicy to suit your tastes) 4. 1 lb Jimmy Dean package w/ sage 5. Garlic salt, or minced garlic 6. Mushrooms, & onions (if they're your thing) 7. Olive oil 8. Any other flavors you might like. I use Oregano and Thyme. I also use some seasoning salt in the meat. In a pot, add water and noodles, and set to medium or higher. Let them sit there and cook. Mix them when they start to sink down. You can add salt if you prefer. In a separate pan, add both packages of meat, and brown. Once the meat is done cooking, drain it, as there will likely be a lot of grease. Cook a little more, and drain any more fat. Add the garlic, mushrooms, onions, and the seasonings. I don't like mushrooms or onions, but when I do add them, they get better reviews from guests. As far as how much, you can be the judge, but generally a light covering over the top of the meat is good. Stir it all in, and cook a little longer. Add the sauce, and mix it in. Take the olive oil and pour some in. About 2 times around is probably perfect. Let it simmer for awhile. 15 minutes is probably good. But less is ok, if you're short on time. As soon as they are both cooked, it's time for dinner! You can plop a couple of hot pads down and serve from the pans, or you can transfer them into some dishes. Either way, once you have your plate set to dig in, make sure and top it with a little Parmesan cheese. That, to me, was the finishing touch, and it made it just delicious. One thing I can't have spaghetti without is some garlic bread, to clean up your plate when you're finished, and a nice green salad with some sun dried tomato and garlic dressing. Enjoy!
