Crockpot BBQ Ribs

Name: Ashley Lemiszki
Base: MCAS Cherry Point
Recipe: This is easy and DELICIOUS! Great for a special meal. 4 pounds pork baby back ribs 2 cup BBQ Sauce (I used Jack Daniels - I recommend not using a .99 cheapo bbq sauce) 1 cup Ketchup 1/2 cup packed brown sugar 2 tablespoons distilled vinegar 2 teaspoons dried oregano 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Season ribs with to taste (I used seasoning salts, garlic powder, salt and pepper, etc). Place in a shallow baking pan. Brown in oven 15 minutes. Turn over, and brown another 15 minutes; drain fat. In a medium bowl, mix together the ketchup, bbq sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, oregano, and Worcestershire sauce. Place ribs in slow cooker. Pour sauce over ribs, and turn to coat. Cover, and cook on Low 6 hours, or until ribs are tender. 30 Minutes before serving, put in the oven at 350 to carmelize the meat - This is crucial! I served this with my famous mashed potatoes, white rice, stuffing, small salad, festive corn, and garlic bread. Delicious!
