Ingredients:
1 White Cake Mix baked as directed on box into 2 round cakes
1 cup cold water divided
1 cup boiling water divided
1 pkg. red JELL-O
1 pkg. blue JELL-O
Cool Whip Whipped Topping
Directions:
Bake cake as directed on box in round cake pans, let cool
Pierce cakes with fork
Mix box of red JELL-O with 1/2 cup of cold water, and half cup of boiling hot water, pour over one cake, doing the same with the blue JELL-O and the other cake. Refigerate for 2 hours.
Run some hot water in the bottom of the sink, take the cakes out and dip the bottom of the pan in the hot water, this will help get the cake out easier. Place one layer on a serving plate and spread the Cool Whip over it, then take the second layer and place it on the bottom layer spreading Cool Whip over it as well as the sides. Place it back in the fridge for an hour or so and it will be so cold, very nice for that Fourth of July Celebration, and very Patriotic!
