Philly CheeseSteaks

Name: Charles McGurk
Base: Fort Benning
Recipe: A simple but must have recipe. First, you have to get all the right ingrediants starting with the Hogie roll. The commisary here at Fort Benning has improved so much with their bakery, I now get all my Hogie rolls from them at 50 cents each, they are as good as Publix now. The choice of meat is either the Steakums or Philly brand minute steaks. They are both good! You only need to cook them about 3-4 minutes each, add a sprinkle of salt and add the cheese. My favorite is the white american cheese,(boarshead). A good onion, and a good green pepper is next. Make sure you use a good corn oil to sautee your onions and green peppers, in separate pans. Use a good mayonaise, kraft or hellmans, on the roll, double up your meat with a slice of cheese on each piece of steak, add the onions, green peppers, and you have one delicious sandwich!
