Easy Cherry Tarts

Recipe: 1 Tube(8 oz)refrigerated crescent rolls 1 package(3 oz)cream cheese, softened 1/4 cup confectioners sugar 1 can of cherry pie filling 1/4 teaspoon almond extract ** Roll out crescent rolls onto lightly floured surface, sealing seams and perforations. Cut into 2-inch circles. Place in greased muffin cups. In small mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Place about 1/2 teaspoon into each cup. Combine pie filling and extract, place about 2 teaspoons into each cup. Bake at 375 degrees for 12-14 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Remove to wire rack to cool. Refrigerate until serving. Makes approx. 2 dozen
