Holiday Morning French Toast

Recipe: Holiday Morning French Toast 1 cup brown sugar 3 t cinnamon 6 large eggs 1 loaf french bread sliced into 1 inch slices 1/2 cup butter (melted) 3 tart apples, pealed, thinly sliced 1/2 cup craisins or raisins 1 1/2 cup milk Combine brown sugar, butter and 1 t cinnamon into a buttered 9x13 pan. Add apples and craisins, toss to coat well. Spread apple mixture evenly over bottom of pan. Arrange slices of bread on top. Mix eggs, milk, and vanilla and remaining 2 t cinnamon until well blended. Pour mixture over bread, soaking bread completely. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake covered at 375 degrees for 40 min. Uncover and bake 5 min. more. Remove from oven, let stand 5 min., serve warm. Serve with maple syrup as desired. Yields 12-15 servings.
