My Favorite Green Beans

Base: Camp LeJeune
Recipe: 3 strips bacon, cut into small pieces half of a small onion, chopped 1-2 Tbs butter or margarine 1 pound green beans (fresh or thawed frozen DO NOT USE CANNED) Melt butter in pan on medium- high heat. Add bacon and onion. Cook about 5 minutes, until bacon starts to cook and onions start to get wilty but still crunchy. Add green beans. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until bacon is fully cooked and beans are hot. Salt and pepper to taste!
