Ground cinnamon and biscuits

Name: Melvin Reynolds
Base: Fort Campbell, KY
Recipe: RAP ON THAT MONKEY BREAD 1/2 cup raisins 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1 tsp ground cinnamon 4 pkg.(10 biscuits each) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits 1 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 cup butter, melted 1/3 cup orange marmalade Preheat oven to 350°F degrees. Spoon a layer of orange marmalade in bottom of well greased 10-inch fluted tube pan. Sprinkle a layer of raisins, then; set aside. In a medium plastic bowl with lid, or large jar, stir together granulated sugar and cinnamon. Cut biscuits into quarters. Place about 10 to 15 biscuit pieces in the sugar mixture, cover and shake. Place in prepared pan, stacking around center and working outward arranging pieces to fill the pan evenly. In a small saucer pan, stir together brown sugar and melted butter, with a tsp of cinnamon. Once it begins to boil, remove from heat, and pour over biscuits. Cover the top with aluminum foil to prevent over cooking. (If you have time, you can place in refrigerator overnight, and let it marinade for the ultimate taste in each bite.) Bake for 30 minutes, then remove aluminum foil, and bake for another 10 minutes or until dark golden brown. Cool in pan on wire rack for 1 minute. Invert onto a serving platter. Serve warm. Serves 10.
