Holiday Strawberry and Banana Mousse

Name: Sylvia Walters
Base: Fort Bliss Texas
Recipe: Main ingredients 3 12oz tubs whipped cream 2 6oz of strawberry or strawberry banana yogurt 2 bananas 1 box jello (strawberry flavor) 1 can pineapple slices marachini cherries (decrative use) optional equipment 1 strainer 1 small pot 2 large bowls spatula blender In a bowl strain the pineapple juice and set the pineapple slices aside. Set the stove to a medieum flame and boil the juice and add the strawberry jello to it. Wisk till it reaches boiling point and set aside. Add the 2 banana's to the blender and the 2 container of yogurt as well. Blend together and add all the jello and pineapple juice mixture till it comes out smooth then refrigerate till firm. It will set in about 2 hours or less. You may want to let the whip cream sit out for a while to make it more manageable. Then once the mix is firm with a blender add the tubs of whipped cream. You can either fold it in with a spatula but its hard work so instead use a hand held blender. Once it is blended together you can use the pineapple to decorate it and add cherries to put in the center of the pineapples. Refrigerate after you have decorated. You can eat it then or refrigerate for an hour for more firm texture. Its great for any ocassion. Great substitute for ice cream.
