Recipe: 2 Cup sugar 1 Cup Lite corn syrup 1/4 cup butter 1/2 cup water 2 1/2 cup chopped nuts 1 1/2 teas. sifted baking soda In a sauce pan combine , sugar, corn syrup, butter, and 1/2 cup water. cook over medium heat to a boiling.clip candy thermometer to side of pan and cook until 275 degrees (soft crack stage) add nuts , cook and stir until 295 degrees, hard crack stage. Remove from heat, take thermometer out. Quickly sprinkle baking soda over mixture stiiring constantly. immediately pour mixture onto large baking sheets, cool completely break into peices, store in air tight container. if desired as brittle cools score with knife to break into more even pieces.
