Recipe: 3c.self-rising flour 3/4c.shortening 1c.buttermilk 1Tbsp.sugar 1/2tsp.soda 1 yeast packet dissolved in 1/4c.water Sift dry ingredients;cut in shortening.Add milk yeast mixture to make soft dough.Turn out and knead about 20 strokes. Roll to 3/4 inch thickness.Cut out and cook on greased pan 15-20 minutes in 425 oven. HEAVENLY!
