My mother invented this recipe with a friend one winter afternoon when I was a child. Making everyone's favorit cookie.
Pre heat oven 375 F.
Take one cup or two sticks margerin at room temperature and cream it with 3/4 C. brown and granulated sugar. Mix until smooth. Beat two eggs and mix in. Add 1 tsp. each salt, baking soda and vanilla. Stir in 1/2 C. crunchy peanut butter, one cup rolled oats. Add 2 Tbs. of water. Stir in gradually 2 and a 1/3 cups of flour. Lastly add one package Nestle semi-sweet chocolate chips. Place table spoons of dough on greased cookie sheets. Bake for 9 to 12 minutes. Cool on cookie sheet for 2 to 3 minutes. Then remove the cookies to a rack for 10 minutes. Then enjoy!!!! |
