Fresh Apple Cake Name: Courtney Moors Base: NS Norfolk Recipe: Ingredients: 4C. finely chopped or grated apples (4-6 apples)2 C. sugar, 1C. vegetable oil, 2 beaten eggs, 1/2 C. Chopped pecans (optional) 2 C. Sifted Flour, 1t. baking soda, 1t. vanilla, 2t. cinnamon Sauce: 1/2C brown sugar, 1/2C. Granulated sugar, 1/2C. evaporated milk, 1/2C. Butter, 1T. vanilla, 1T flour Mix all cake ingredients. Bake in a 13x9 dish at 350 for 25-35 min. Cool. Combine all sauce ingredients in a small saucepan and cook until think. Store in refrigerator. Reheat sauce and spoon over individual pieces of cake as it is served. Serves 15.
