1 cup sugar
1/2 cup flour
1 stick melted butter
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
6 ounces (1 cup) chocolate chips
1 cup pecans or walnuts (optional) 1, 9" unbaked pie shell
Combine sugar and flour; add butter. Beat in egg and vanilla. Sprinkle chips and nuts, if using, into pie shell. Pour egg mixture over chips. Bake at 325F for 1 hour.
