Recipe: Tourtiere *********************************************************** 1 pound lean ground beef, 1/2 pound ground pork, 1 small onion(minced), 1 clove garlic(chopped), 1/2 cup boiling water, 1-1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon celery salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon sage, Pinch ground cloves, 3 potatoes, 9 inch pie crust for 2 crust pie, *********************************************************** In a heavy 3 quart saucepan, combine all ingredients except potatoes. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly until meat looses its red color and about half the liquid evaporates. Cover and cook about 45 minutes. Meanwhile, boil and mash three medium-sized potatoes. Mix into cooked meat. Cool. Fill 9 inch pie shell and cover with top crust. Seal edges and slash top crust. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 for 30 to 45 minutes.
