5 Cold Tea Tea bags
Spring Water
1 cup of sugar
3 fresh mint leaves
half od a lemon
Put your tea bags in a pitcher
Pour the spring water to fill the pitcher half way
Add the sugar and stir until dissolved
When the tea is a dark brown pour the spring water to the top.
Squeeze the juices from the lemon into your tea and then drop the rind in
Take your mint and on the rim of the pitcher rub along the rim to extract the juices and drop into you tea
Let this sit all day so when everyone gets home from school or work it is ready to drink
Put ice into your glasses and pour
To keep the tea clear and not cloudy do not use ice to make the drink. Also no lemon. Now you have the traditional Charleston SC Sweet Iced Tea...ENJOY! |
