This is a simple, delicious, and cost-effective fruit cobbler recipe that has been in the family for years. Sweet, comforting, and yummy!
1 Stick Salted Butter (real butter, 1/2C)
1C All-purpose flour
1C White sugar
1C Milk
2tsp Baking powder
21oz can of Pie Filling (your choice!)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Place stick of butter on bottom of baking dish (can be 9x7, 9x9, 8x8, or 2qt round cassarole dish), and microwave until butter is completely melted. Set aside.
In a mixing bowl wisk flour, sugar, milk, and baking powder together. Pour mixture over butter - Do not mix into butter!
Again, without mixing, evenly distribute pie filling over butter/batter.
Bake at 350 for approximately 1 hr and 15 minutes or until crust is golden brown, and top center of crust is fully baked.
Best when served warm with or without vanilla ice cream. |
