2 pounds pork stew meat, 1/4 cup soy sauce, 1/5 cup sugar, 1/4 cup white wine or cooking wine,1 green onion, 3 sliced ginger, 1 anise seed, 1tbsp chinese 5 spieces,2 tbsp cooking oil, 1/2 cup water.
Heat the oil in medium high heat, add sugar until the color gets brown and bubbles come out. add pork meat to stir for 1 min and then add soy sauce, wine... the remaining ingredients. Turn the heat down to low heat and cover to cook for another 30 mins. Serve with steamed Asian rice. |
