Tomato-Basil Bisque.

Recipe: 3 cups peeled, seeded, and coarsely chopped tomatoes. 1 cup vegetable broth or chicken broth. 1 8-ounce can tomato sauce. 2 tablespoons snipped fresh basil or 1 teaspoon dried basil, crushed. Seasalt & cracked black pepper to taste. In blender combine tomatoes, salt & pepper, vegetable or chicken broth, and tomato sauce. Cover and blend until smooth. Stir in basil. Cover and chill until ready to serve. Makes 4 side-dish servings.
