Chocolate Chip Cookies Name: Jennifer Penley Base: Fort Polk Recipe: CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 1 cup shortening 3/4 cup sugar 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 teaspoon water 2 eggs 2 cups flour 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon baking soda Beat shortening, sugars, vanilla, water and eggs until fluffy. Mix flour with baking soda and salt, blend into other mixture. Stir in chips. Drop onto cookie sheet. Bake 375 oven for 10 minutes or until done.
