1lb. beef strips (the ones cut for stir fry work good)
2 celery sticks
1 onion (I use white)
2 cans golden mushroom soup
1 can cream of celery soup
8oz sour cream
1 small can mushrooms
flour
oil
1 bag extra wide egg noodles
coat beef strips in flour (add salt if desired)and brown on medium high heat (I like to add a little onion to flavor the meat while browning). dice celery and onion. Mix everything in a large caserole dish. Cover and bake at 375 for 40min. When timer goes off take out of oven, start water for noodles, uncover and stir (cover the sides w/ mixture and before you serve scrape off and mix into stroganoff). Bake at 425 until noodles are ready. when noodles are ready mix w/ stroganoff and enjoy! (I underbake the noodles a tad and let them set in stroganoff a minute or two before serving.) |
