Green Chili Casserole

Recipe: Green Chili Casserole (Approximately 30 minutes prep and cook time) Ingrediants: 1 lb. Ground Beef 1 can Cream of Mushroom 1 sm. can diced Green Chili’s 1 sm. can sliced Mushroom’s ½ cup diced onion (optional) ¼ - ½ cup Milk 1-2 cups Shredded Cheddar Cheese 1 ½ cups White Rice Begin cooking Rice. (Amount of rice cooked is dependant on amount of person's to be fed. use your best judgement) In a deep sauce pan (or deep frying pan) brown the Ground Beef and drain fat. To the cooked Ground Beef add: Cream of Mushroom, diced Green Chili’s, sliced mushrooms, diced onion (optional), and milk (use milk to make it the consistency you like - thick and creamy, or thin). Mix well together. Top the Meat combination with the Shredded Cheddar cheese, cover and let simmer until rice is done or the cheese has melted over top. Spoon a serving of rice on plate and top with the Meat combination. Enjoy! *Optional: If you want to add some heat to the menu add a tsp or two of diced jalepino's; or drizzle the jalepino juice into the meat combination. A friend of mine adds french fried onions.
