Apple Name: Carissa Pitler Base: Naval Station Newport Recipe: "Crazy Apple Pie" Ingredients: 5-6 Mackintosh apples or any good baking apple (not red delicious). 1 tbl. sugar 1 tbl. cinnamon 1 1/2 sticks of butter or margarine 1 c. flour 1 c. sugar 1 egg dash of salt Recipe: Preheat oven to 350. First, peel and slice apples. Then fill glass pie plate 3/4 full. Then, spinkle 1 tbl. cinnamon and 1 tbl. sugar over the apples. Next, melt 1 1/2 sticks of butter or margarine in sauce pan on med. heat. Once melted, stir in 1 c. flour and 1 c. sugar. Mix until well blended. Once smooth, remove from heat and add a dash of salt and egg, mix fast so egg doesn't cook. Then pour over Apples. Place in oven for 45 mins. Enjoy!
