150g / 5 1/4 oz Sour Cream/Quark
1 tbsp milk
2 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp salt
100g/3 1/2 oz plain flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp coarse salt
Make these salted pretzels real quick and easy. Serve them as a snack with a glass of beer or wine. They taste best fresh and warm right from the oven. Stir together the quark, the milk and oil until smooth. Add the salt. Combine the flour and the baking powder, add to the quark and knead well. On a slightly floured workspace form a roll. Cut into 6 equal pieces. Form each piece into a long and thin roll. The middle of the roll needs to be thicker than the ends. Form pretzels and put on a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with coarse salt. Pre heat the oven to 200 C / 390 F and bake on the middle shelf for approx.15 minutes.
