Ingredients:
3 cans evaporated milk
3/4 Cup sugar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
4 egg yolks
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup sweet Marsalla wine
Directions:
Cook the milk, the sugar and cornstarch in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened a bit. Beat the yolks. Add 1 cup or so of milk mixture to the egg yolks, stir and add back to the milk mixture. Continue cooking, stirring, stirring, stirring, until thick custard consistency. Add the vanilla and Marsalla. Cool and serve with pound cake - Good over apple pie or blueberry pie, too
