1 LB. ground beef
1/4 cup diced onion
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 large tomato, diced
1/4 cup taco sauce
1 (14 oz.) bottle of salsa
1 pkg. taco seasoning
1 cup sour cream
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese (room temp)
2 cups shredded cheddar
chopped green onions and sliced black olives for garnish - if desired
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Brown the beef and onion in a skillet and drain. Add taco seasoning, taco sauce, and salsa. Heat through. Meanwhile, mix cream cheese and sour cream in a separate bowl. Place beef mixture into a 13" by 9" baking dish. Cover beef layer evenly with sour cream mixture. Scatter diced green pepper and diced tomato on sour cream layer. (as much or as little as you like) Scatter shredded cheddar cheese on top of entire dip, evenly. You can add chopped green onions at this point if you like, as well as sliced black olives around the edge. Place baking dish in oven and heat until cheese is melted. Enjoy with your favorite nachos!
