Recipe: |
1 lb. hamburger meat (you can also use ground turkey)
1 1/2 cup. frozen mixed vegtables (or your favorites)
1 c. shredded cheese (cheddar, Mexican mix, etc.)- divided
1 bag of tater tots (estimate a 2 lb. bag)
1 can of tomato soup
1/2 c. of water
1/4 c. chili powder (or the amount to your taste)
Add salt to you taste
Cook everything in an oven and stove safe skillet. (I use a cast iron skillet)
Pre-heat oven 400 degrees.
Brown hamburger meat, then drain. Add tomato soup, water, mix vegtables and chili powder. Mix well. Add 1/2 of the shedded cheese on the top of mixture.
Place tater tots on top of mixture and cheese in a pattern or for the best coverage. Add remainder of shedded cheese on top of tater tots.
Bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes.
It's a great meal for kids too. |
