water
can crushed pineapple
pineapple juice from above can
teriyaki sauce
soy sauce
dark brown sugar
lemon juice
minced white onion
Jack Daniels Whiskey
cayenne pepper
Cut about 1/2-inch off of top of garlic. Cut the roots so that the garlic will sit flat. take off the papery skin from the garlic. Put garlic into a baking pan, drizzle olive oil over it, and cover with foil. Bake 325 for 1 hour.
Simmer water, pineapple juice, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, and brown sugar in a medium saucepan over medium/high heat. Stir occasionally until mixture boils then reduce heat until mixture is just simmering.
squeeze the roasted garlic out into the sauce.
add remaining ingredients to pan.
from here, I just watch the sauce.....until it gets thicker...usually takes 30-45 minutes....have to watch it....don't let it boil.....
you can either add the jack after the garlic......or wait until JUST before you take it off the stove...depending on if you want the recipe to be alcholic or not....lol
Usually here, I take 1/2 the sauce......pour it over Chicken breast strips in a baking dish, and grill them in an oven.......when they're done, I serve them with the other 1/2 of the sauce drizzled over them. |
